Accepting connections
Accepting connections enables a financial barista to provide specific advice based on your financial profile, and ensures you have access to all of the AdviceCafé features included in your membership.
Note: If you were invited to AdviceCafé by a program sponsor (i.e., an employer, union or other group) who doesn’t provide you with personal financial advice, you must accept the connection to access your full program. Please note, your employer, union or other non-financial professional connections do not allow your program sponsor to view any of your financial data.
Step 1.
To accept the connection, click the green checkmark in the banner.
Tip: If you decline the connection, you won’t receive the full value from your AdviceCafé account. Clicked the red x by accident? No problem. Just use the sign-up page you were sent to sign up again. It won’t impact your data at all, but it will trigger the option to accept the connection again. Then click green check, accepting the connection.
Step 2.
Click the star beside AdviceCafé to set it as your primary connection.
Click Yes, you would like to make that connection your primary connection.
The solid star ⭐ is now your primary connection.
Note: You can change the primary connection on your account by clicking the yellow star next to the connection’s name you want to choose. Only your primary connection can update your spendable recommendation.
