Accepting connections enables a financial barista to provide specific advice based on your financial profile, and ensures you have access to all of the AdviceCafé features included in your membership.

|| Note: If you were invited to AdviceCafé by a program sponsor (i.e., an employer, union or other group) who doesn’t provide you with personal financial advice, you must accept the connection to access your full program. Please note, your employer, union or other non-financial professional connections do not allow your program sponsor to view any of your financial data.

Step 1.

To accept the connection, click the green checkmark in the banner.

| Tip: If you decline the connection, you won’t receive the full value from your AdviceCafé account. Clicked the red x by accident? No problem. Just use the sign-up page you were sent to sign up again. It won’t impact your data at all, but it will trigger the option to accept the connection again. Then click green check, accepting the connection.

Step 2.

Click the star beside AdviceCafé to set it as your primary connection.

Click Yes, you would like to make that connection your primary connection.

Follow these steps when you’re ready to jump into eLearning.

Log in to AdviceCafé
Click learn on the menu
A notification will pop up saying we’ve sent you an invite to eLearning at the bottom of your AdviceCafé screen

Check your email and click the Accept Invite button

|| Note: eLearning is powered by CacheFlo, so you will see them mentioned in some notifications

|| Don’t see an email from notifications-no-reply@articulate.com? Please check your spam or junk. Move the notification from junk or spam to your inbox and click Accept Invite.

A password will be automatically generated for you. Accept the terms and conditions and click Create Account
Your eLearning dashboard will open and you can explore courses and learning paths from there

| Let your computer save your learning password so you can log in with ease in the future by clicking learn, and then logging back into your eLearning.

AdviceCafé is an advice-only service with self-serve tools, including AdviceChat, and one 30-minute consultation. If you’re looking for specific advice around investments, insurance, mortgages, and overall financial planning, we will gladly refer you to a qualified financial planner at New Outlook Wealth (NOW), the wealth management firm that supports AdviceCafé.

Installing AdviceCafé on iOS

Adding AdviceCafé to your iOS device's home screen

AdviceCafé is available only through your AdviceCafé membership, and unavailable to download directly from the App Store.

Step 1.

On your iOS device, open your Safari browser and navigate to app.advicecafe.ca.

Step 2.

Press the Share button in your browser.

Step 3.

Scroll down and press Add to Home Screen.

Step 4.

Keep the name AdviceCafé, and press Done next to the text keyboard or Add in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 5.

Done! An AdviceCafé icon should appear on your home screen on your device. You can now open AdviceCafé from your home screen by selecting the icon and entering your email and password to log in.

What if I already have a financial advisor?

Already working with a financial advisor? No problem.

AdviceCafé doesn’t replace your relationship with your existing advisor or institution. You can take what you learn through your membership, and apply it with an existing financial advisor, or use it to manage things on your own.

Step 1.

Navigate to AdviceCafé at app.advicecafe.ca

Step 2.

Click Forgot password?

Step 3.

Enter your email and click Reset Password.

Step 4.

An email will be sent to you with a link to change your password. Click the link and enter your new password and log into AdviceCafé.
